Coronavirus Emergency

Message from the Kelsall Surgery

Dear Patients

The Surgery would ask you to adhere to the following information and procedure during the Coronavirus Emergency.

  1. The main front door of the Medical Centre is now locked, but please note that WE ARE STILL OPEN and there are signs to direct you. This precaution needs to be taken in order to prevent people walking into such a small and confined area, thus risking the spread of this virus.

  2. If you wish to collect a prescription then please go to the side of the building and ring the bell on the side door.  Someone will answer and be able to help you.

  3. Please note, we are only accepting card payments for prescriptions and other services. Cash payments are not being accepted at this time.

If you think you have symptoms, then please follow these guidelines, in this order:

If you are well enough and able to look after yourself in your home, then you must self-isolate for 7 days if you are the only one in your house.

If you are well enough and able to look after yourself but there are more than one of you at home, then you must self-isolate for 14 days.

If you are not able to look after yourself and are feeling unwell with cough and/or a high temperature, then please do not go out, but follow these steps in this order:

  1. Contact 111 online to obtain advice.

  2. If you don’t have internet access, then please telephone 111 and wait to be answered. Remember that this may take some time as they are now reaching ‘overload’.

  3. If you have no success with either of these, then please contact the Surgery on the usual number 751252 and wait to be answered.  Again this may take some time.

We are sorry to take these drastic actions but it is for the sake of everyone and to ensure that we can still help everyone to get the best advice/action.

Please be patient as all of us are very stretched!

Thank you from your Doctors and Colleagues at Kelsall Medical Centre.
