As the Kelsall Medical Centre works towards moving into the new surgery they are looking to expand and improve upon their current services and team. 

 

The Practice is currently looking to recruit to two positions. Their outline job descriptions are as follows:-

 

Medical Receptionist (part-time)

 

They are currently looking to recruit a permanent Medical Receptionist to join our busy team. The successful candidate will be patient focused, a good team player and flexible in their approach. Whilst we encourage applications from suitably experienced individuals, training can be provided for the right candidate.

Hours: 20 hours per week. Weekday shifts working Monday – Friday (days to be agreed upon appointment). Additional hours may be required for planned and unplanned absences.

Main duties of the job

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

  • Strong IT skills

  • Clear, polite telephone manner

  • Competent in the use of Office and Outlook

  • EMIS user skills (desirable)

  • Effective time management (Planning & Organising)

  • Ability to work as a team member and autonomously

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Problem solving & analytical skills

  • Ability to follow policy and procedure

  • Checking dispensed medication (training will be given)

Health Care Assistant (part-time)

 

They are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to work as a Health Care Assistant in our busy, friendly rural surgery. 

The post holder will assist the GP's and healthcare team in providing a holistic service and high-quality care for the practice population. A wide range of clinical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and other team members and strict confidentiality are essential. Ideally applicants should have a good standard of education and have achieved or be working towards gaining the Care Certificate.  However, training can be given and supported. 

Hours of work: 14 hours per week (days to be agreed upon appointment). Additional hours may be required for planned and unplanned absences. 

The successful applicant(s) will also need to be willing to commit to working evenings when required to cover the Extended Hours clinics in the future.

 

The Practice provides 5 weeks holidays pro-rota plus bank holidays and a staff uniform.
